On our last entry, we were talking about excellence and how it is related to our life. But the most important thing we learned is that a successful life is not determined by your money or properties. We must remember that excellence is a quality that goes beyond the standards. A life of excellence is a life where we can achieve everything we wish, not only limited to wealth.
Also last time, we discussed several tips to help us achieve a life of excellence. The idea of breaking them in two parts was that you could start acting applying them without suffering and information overflow.

Excellence in life requires playing smart.
If you want to achieve excellence in life, you need to have a strategy. If you do not have a strategy, you won't be able to achieve the results that you want.
The strategy is fundamental to achieving what you want to achieve. Why is a strategy so important? In order to create a strategy, you must be clear and focused on a goal. Remember goals? most people fail because they don't have them. Creating a strategy requires having a clear goal... can you see how everything connects?
A goal can be achieved easier if you are focused and prepared. Do not skip planning and strategy phase. Your road to excellence has clear steps, Take them carefully and you will be amazed by the results.
Excellence in life requires excellent influences
It is not about copying.. that would not be excellence. But while you are on strategy phase, why not check others in order to gain some insight and inspiration.
This will make you more effective as you won't fail in things others already failed. When you are planning, all insight is beneficial.
Do not underestimate this strategy. There is a lot of power in analyzing what others have already done. If you aim to be your role model.. try to figure out what he did on it's way to excellence, then see if those methods are fit for you. Scratch the good things and keep them. This is a huge time saver.
Good preparations lead to excellent performance.
When you see amazing results, you have to agree that 9 out of 10 times, an incredible performance and resource employment has happened.
Take for example the top football teams in Europe. Teams like Real Madrid or Manchester United crush their opponents Sunday after Sunday and they are able to lift trophy after trophy every season.
But behind this excellence, there is a lot of top performance. Scouts around the world that keep looking for the best players to enhance the team. There are top trainers, top strategist and so.
You need to understand that in order to achieve the results you want, you need to invest in you. I am not talking about money, but also knowledge, tools or anything you might need.
Excellence requires working hard.
Once your goals are set, your strategy ready and your resources calculated it is time to move on to the next step... executing everything you have planned.
A plan is useless unless you put the machine in motion and start executing it. What is the point yo have your desire life only in your head... there is no point in having that excellence for your life only in your dreams.
Remember... your main goal might seem too big and daunting at first. But when you break that goal down into little tasks that you can easily achieve, you will feel invigorated and will march at a steady rhythm to your huge goal
